The Yas Wins Best Abu Dhabi Property Development
The Yas Hotel was the recipient of the prestigious Best Property Development and Landmark Project award as announced at the Best In Abu Dhabi Awards hosted on Yas Island last night. The Best In Abu Dhabi Awards are a new initiative aimed at recognising the Capital’s best in Hospitality, Culture, Social and Future developments. The Yas Hotel was commended for its iconic structure and design, being an identifiable landmark of Abu Dhabi’s cityscape. Other nominations in the same category were Sheikh Khalifa Highway, the new airport terminal, and Yas Marina Circuit. This award follows three others in quick succession for The Yas Hotel. The Aldar Hotels & Hospitality owned and managed property was recently awarded the Middle East’s Leading New Hotel, World Travel Awards 2010; Best New Hotel, Arabian Hotel Investment Conference 2010; and Best Commercial, Office, Retail Built Development at the Cityscape Awards. Commenting on the award Paul Bell, Managing Director of Aldar Hotels & Hospitality, said “it is an honour to receive this prestigious new award. The Yas Hotel has been very successful in achieving a number of international hospitality industry and design awards in recent months and all at Aldar are delighted and gratified to be recognised by our ‘local’ consumers for delivering a truly individual design experience”.

Best New Hotel – Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (3 May)
The Yas Hotel on Yas Island was the winner of the prestigious Best New Hotel Award at the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference 2010 that took place today at Madinat Jumeirah. The awards were judged by a distinguished panel of high-profile industry professionals.
The Yas Hotel was honoured for its exciting modern and contemporary design. A property that was created and designed with flair, passion and individuality. The incredible LED colour changing shroud and innovative architecture that embraces the environment perfectly based on the ergonomics and speedlines of high performance cars and yachts. A truly iconic structure that will be admired and enjoyed for generations to come.

Middle East’s Leading New Hotel – World Travel Awards (3 May)
The Yas Hotel, Abu Dhabi was voted unanimously as ‘Middle East’s Leading New Hotel’ at this year’s prestigious World Travel Awards on Monday 3 May in Dubai Marina. Abu Dhabi has claimed the coveted title of Middle East’s Leading Destination following the announcement at the awards, with Yas Island taking the Middle East's Leading Tourism Development Project 2010 award.
The World Travel Awards, now in its 17th year and the global travel and tourism industry equivalent of the ‘Oscars’, is helping to drive up standards of customer service and business excellence throughout the world.
“The Middle East is a shining example to the international industry, even in the challenging times that this region and destinations worldwide have been experiencing in the past two years”, said Graham E. Cooke, Founder and President of World Travel Awards.
The overall winners will now compete against the crème de la crème throughout the world at World Travel Awards Grand Final which will take place in London (UK) in November, immediately before World Travel Market.
Best Commercial, Office, Retail Built Development – Cityscape, Real Estate, MENA (19 April)
The Yas Hotel developed by Aldar Properties PJSC and operated by Aldar Hotels and Hospitality was the worthy winner of the prestigious prize in Best Commercial, Office, Retail Built Development at last night’s Cityscape Awards - Real Estate, MENA Gala Dinner in Abu Dhabi.

Aldar Properties PJSC also picked up a second prestigious Award in the Best Commercial, Office, Retail Future Development for Yas Island Development, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
